You really don't want to cut corners, especially when it comes to eye surgery, so forums and personal testimonials are invaluable in making the right decision. I've never taken the time to write one before, but my experience with Accuvision has changed all that.
It was personal testimonials like this, along with my brothers recommendation that prompted me to go for a consultation. The Solihull branch had a relaxed, no pressure atmosphere, and they had plenty of time for me. Tests were done and all options explained. I also asked a lot of questions about other companies offering similar treatments, and their answers satisfied me that I was making the right choice.
I booked my surgery 3 days later having had time to think about it, and 3 weeks later had it done. It's now 54hrs later and the results are amazing, I had 20/20 vision after 24hrs, and it's improving, giving clearer vision than with my lenses already. It may be a few hundred quid more than some other companies, but in my opinion it's money well worth spending.
