fantastic work! had eye surgery a week ago, and very, very impressed with the results. money well spent. surgery itself was quick and you can't feel a thing, including when they hold your eye open with a speculum thingie... because of the anaesthetic, you don't know that eye's not blinking. my score (I gave 4/5 for customer service) is marred only by the sales consultant i saw on my first appointment, who seemed a little put out by my questioning on price. he'd done all the tests and told me i was perfect on all of them, and then charged me 30% more than the price advertised on the web site because my cornea was a few microns thinner than usual. surely their laser can cope ...  More...

I think I'm pretty much a text book case of how it's all supposed to go. Had -6 and -4.5, had a couple of consultantions whilst trying to pluck up courage then had the Op. Very intense, very short (seconds), nothing nice about it but no pain. I certainly felt they were professionals. Eyes were immediately fixed, slight soreness for an hour or two, very slight haziness for a day, then better than 20:20 the week after. Everything went absolutely to plan, they did everything right and everything turned out good!! Magic Laser Eyes!  More...

After 44 years of wearing glasses I now have better than 20/20 vision. I had Lasik wavefront surgery at the Fulham clinic. The experience was pleasant, pain free and the staff excellent. They all amde me feel at ease from the start to finish of treatment. All of my questions were answered. I would recommend Accuvision and the team at Fulham.  More...

AMAZING. It's taken me a year to write my review of the service offered by Accuvision for the Wavefront Lasik surgery undertaken. I approached them after several favourable reviews from family and friends - and I wasn't disappointed! Having two young kids who constantly jump on you and damage or drop your glasses, I thought it was time to get the surgery done and dusted. It's a scary thought, having laser surgery to your eyes. Not at all!!! The whole experience from start to finish was painless, both in terms of the surgery and the cost. Accuvision is the ultimate in professionalism - from the relaxed administrative staff to the knowledgable consultant, Vikash, and the ...  More...

I had been toying with the idea of visiting an laser eye surgeon, and found one in Bluewater near where I live. I went along for the consultation and looking forward to eye laser surgery, but when being told that as my eye sight was so bad and when they matched the cost to my eye sight, I was flabbergasted, and fell off my chair. (not reading the small print which said “from” ) this eye laser surgeon wanted to charge me 4 times what I thought the cost would be (*£395 per eye). I decided to shop around and looked for a more reasonable eye laser surgeon, without compensating service or procedure. I found Accuvision, New Kings Road, Fulham. I had worn contact lenses and glasses since I was 1 ...  More...

Without doubt one of the best decisions I have made was to get my eyes corrected by laser. It wasn't cheap but you really can't (well I couldn't) put a price on 20/20 vision and not having to put on a pair of glasses or insert a pair of contact lenses. The staff at Accuvision were extremely professional and courteous and I was under the impression that the patient always came first - from the initial consultation right through to the aftercare one year on after surgery. They went through the results of the consultation and made their recommendation and my suitability. I started out at R: +1.25 / -5.00 / 180 and L: +1.00 / -5.00 / 7. After surgery I am now L: 6/6 and R: 6 ...  More...

before - a lazy left eye that had an astigmatism of -6.5 and a perfect right eye. Most of my life i had perfect vision thanks to my right eye but recently it had gotten tired so thought about laser surgery for about 2 years. During - did a lot of research into many surgeries based around london and found accuvision to have great reviews. was messed around by optical express so gave accuvision the benefit of doubt. my consultation was sales free, vikram was very clear in what was achievable (not 20:20) but an improvement was possible. at this stage i knew it would be gamble as to what i would achieve. surgery - to be absolutely honest it wasn't pleasant but it was painless, i'm ...  More...

Quite simply the best decision I ever made. I had -3.5 and -4.25 and the results were text book, and ended up with one line of vision better then 20/20! I went for my 6 month check up yesterday and everything is perfect, I was dischagred although they emphasise that they will be there for support anytime.... The staff are the most amazing, caring people and the after support is fantastic. The procedure is very fast and painless, and your back to normal after 1 days rest. Incredible...Its changed my life. I would highly recommend ACCUVISION to anyone....!  More...

Had my yearly check up last month & have been discharged from Accuvision (althought they assured me I could contact them at any time if I felt I had any problems). My eyes are still fantastic & I had my 1st holiday in about 20yrs where I was able to swim underwater & not have to worry about people splashing. I'm still amazed that I now have 20/20 vision after all these years & I would recommend this treatment to anyone (Infact I have which resulted in 3 more people having their eyes done all of which have been as pleased as me with the results) Thank you to everyone at accvision for helping to change & improve my life  More...

I was a self confessed contact lens abuser, wearing my lens from the moment I woke up 'til the moment I went to bed (often falling asleep in them) for 14 years. This resulted obviously in numerous eye infections the most recent of which excruciatingly painful and resulting in my optician banning me from buying any more lens’ and a couple of visits to the Eye Clinic at St Thomas’ Hospital. I had been warned in the past about wearing my lens for so long but figured that I wasn’t as bad as I used to be, now that I actually own a pair of glasses at least. My prescription was -5 & -5.5 which of course meant I had to wear glasses or lens’ going without was not an option. However my wearing ...  More...

I was a very nervous patient, but from the start was reassured and had my hand held during surgery. I was operated on by the Founder, CEO and Clinical Director. My unaided eyesight is now 20/20 in both eyes. This is an improvement from 20/25 aided in one eye. The other one is still 20/15 aided. I cannot recommend these people highly enough.  More...

I've waited until my final check-up was completed before writing this review. Firstly though i must tell you my prescription was approx -4.00 and -3.75, i thought of laser eye surgery some years ago with "Boots" but was refused due to a thin cornea! So about 6 mths ago i took the plunge again! hoping for a change in technology. Using this website i decided on Accuvision (parsons green clinic). I phoned them to arrange a consultation which was booked for the following week. When i arrived i was greeted with confident and happy smiles and to my suprise also found out i DIDNT have thin corneas in fact i had plenty of cornea thickness. I was told i would be a perfect candidate for surgery. ...  More...

I have left it a year before writing this to ensure that everything is as good as I first thought, I considered laser eye surgery for two years. After researching my preferred choice was to use Accuvision. For convenience Solihull seemed the better Clinic for me. My initial consultation was with Nick Dash who put me totally at ease and assured me that they could correct my short vision. The treatment was arranged for 22nd September 2005. Whilst travelling up to Solihull I felt I could have easily given up and backed out, however I am glad I didn’t, the procedure itself lasted about twenty minutes, although the laser treatment lasted only seconds for each eye the rest of the time was getting ...  More...

It's now 1 week since I had wavefront LASIK, and i'm extremely pleased with the result. Had the consultation on Monday and the operation on Tuesday, no pain whatsoever. Vision was slightly hazy for two days, but has now settled down. The 7 day check up went well, and my vision is now as good as when I wore contact lenses, if not better! It's now nearly three months since I had bilateral custom wavefront lasik at Accuvision in Fulham and I thought I'd leave a few comments about the experience. First of all the consultation was really thorough and there was plenty of time to ask questions (which were realistically answered - this is surgery and no-one can guarantee the outcome - if they do I would see someone else...). After the consultation I was given a list of upcoming surgery dates and the cost of the operation - no salesmanship - just information which was very much appreciated. Having found out that I was suitable and that a good outcome was likely (which confirmed what I had read on this site and others) I de ...  More...

I had laser surgery just over 2 years ago. I was persuaded to go by my Dad and brother, who have both had it done also, but I was apprehensive as I had just turned 21 and hate anything to do with eyes! The staff were lovely, and were very patient and kind while I was worrying and very nervous. Two years on and after a check up today, I can safely say it was the best decision I made; my eye sight is 20/20 and it's great not having to wear glasses anymore. The on-going support and friendliness of staff is wonderful. I always feel very safe in their hands. Anyone who is like me; nervous and scared - go for it as you wont regret it. Thanks Accuvision!  More...

I had custom lasek treatment back in March. It was the best decision I have ever made. I didn't have really bad eyes (prescription of -1 in both eyes)but due to being a police officer this did affect me and I didn't want to wear glasses. I tried contacts but couldn't even get them in my eye! I was worried about the procedutre and went to umerous clinics for advice. I eventually chose Accuvsion as I believed they would offer the best possible treatment for a reasonable price. They were not the cheapest but were not the most expensive. The procedure lasted a few minutes and the next week was hard. However I now have 20;20 vision in both eyes and my night vision has never been clear ...  More...

A totally professional and highly technical service. I can't praise the clinic highly enough. The service levels are more than impressive from the start. The atmosphere and setting of the clinic is clean and efficent and the way in which you are tested and checked is top rate. I can't thank the clinic and its staff enough. My surgury was carried out on monday the 18/9 and today i have 20/20 vision with slight dry eyes over night. I have already recommended the clinic to my dad who is having his eyes lasered next month. Without a doubt, this is the best money I have ever spent. I have gone from being more short sighted than the average bat, to 20/20 vision in about 15 minutes! The discomfort is minimal - no worse than a trip to the dentist - and the results are AMAZING! Just posting a quick comment to recommend Accuvision. I had a very positive experience; a thorough consultation with friendly staff and no sales talk. Decided to go ahead with the surgery with the result that three months on I've gone from -5 in each eye to 0 and 0.25 on the machine and can see one line better than 20/20 on the charts. It's great to not need glasses after twenty years - if you are thinking about the surgery then you should definitely go for a consultation at Accuvision.  More...

I was persuaded to book a consultation by my sister after being denied Lasik surgery 3 years ago. I was expecting to be told that i was not a suitable candidate, but this was not the case. I had Wavefront Technology to correct my -6.75 & -7.00 vision in May 2006 & have not had to wear glasses or contact lenses since, for the first time in 27 years. I am delighted with the results (my sight is now confirmed as 20/20). I cannot recommend the AccuVision clinic/team enough for their professional manner, expertise and care, I am so glad that I choose to book them and couldn’t ask for any better service.  More...

I am absolutely delighted with my laser eye treatment and the after care received. My prescription was such, that the high street laser eye treatment centres would not consider me for treatment. I was delighted when I approached Accuvision for a free consultation and it was confirmed exactly what could be achieved. I could not believe the difference when I left the clinc when everything was so clear without my glasses. I cannot thank Accuvision enough for making the procedure as pleasant as possible. Just returned from my first holiday since having laser eye surgery at Accuvision. Spent one week in Tenerife, swam under water (with eyes open) travelled on the plane with no contact lenses, no glasses and no hassle. Its like reliving the excitement of the first moments of being able to see. I had surgery in June and my eyes are now completely normal. I did use the Celivisc drops once on the outbound flight, but not once since, ABSOLUTELEY FANTASTIC. Thanks again Accuvision!  More...

I had my surgery on 31/07/06 at Accuvision in Fulham by Mr Chad Rostron. I was very nervous but can honestly say that the proceedure was totally pain free, I have had much more discomfort at the dentists. My prescription was -2.25 in both eyes with slight astigmatism and I had worn glasses or contacts for 26years. I had my six week check up yesterday and my vision was just about 20/20 in my right eye and slightly better in my left eye. I had a slightly dry right eye for the first two weeks but this has virtually disappeared now and I am very pleased with my vision. Mr Rostron and his team were very calm, kind and professional and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anybody conside ...  More...

I had bilateral Lasik surgery on, Monday,31/07/2006 at the London clinic and I can only praise the highly professional manner and expertise I was shown. The consultation with Mr Vik Patel was extremely thorough and caring allaying any doubts or fears. The surgeon Mr Chad Rostron discussed in detail the process again, leaving me in no doubt what to expect and during surgery I received a supportive commentary. To an efficient aftercare from reliable staff. If your enquiring re.laser eye surgery look no further, from one satisfied customer. Thankyou AccuVision.  More...

I had surgery on 31st August at Solihull and the result has been excellent. I didn't really believe that it would be painless but it was, and the discomfort afterwards (less than 24 hours) easily tolerated with the help of the eye drops. My vision was a little cloudy for a couple of days but is now perfect. I have no hesitation in recommending Accuvision. Very professional and friendly.  More...

If you are thinking about getting this done - do not hesitate, it is fantastic. I had the full custom wavefront Lasik at Accuvision in London, and now have perfect vision in both eyes, better than 20:20. The customer care at Accuvision was great, they really spend time going through the procedure with you, and are not pushing you into getting it done, they want you to make the best decision. They explained exactly what they were measuring, what the procedure would entail, and what any after effects might be. There was plenty of time to ask questions, and I really felt I was given the information I needed to make my own decision. I won't pretend that the procedure itself is fun, bu ...  More...

I had been wearing glasses for 16 years and decided that i had enough of them. I was recommended to Acquvision by my husbands friend and booked a consultation for Monday 14th August 2006, the staff were very polite and i booked my surgery for the next day. I have now perfect 20/20 vision and i cannot thank the staff for all the help, understanding and giving me a new lease of life. I have bought 3 pairs of non-prescription sunglasses!! I would urge anybody just thinking about laser vision to book a consultation.  More...

Back at my work monitor 48hrs after having my eyes corrected! I cannot express how amazing the results have been but also how comfortable I was made to feel both before and during the procedure. I've only had my first review visit so far, but that was also brilliant. I think it's fair to say that this is one of the best things I've ever done and think Accuvision are simply fab.  More...

It’s exactly one year since I underwent laser eye surgery and I am delighted with my decision - the results have far exceeded my expectations, and I feel it’s the best money I have ever spent on myself! The discomfort of the procedure was minimal, and I was fortunate to have a speedy recovery without any complications. I was back at work the next day! My vision is now close to 20/20, and I have not even experienced some of the common side effects such as dry eye. I feel less irritation and sensitivity from wind or smoke than before, and I’m sure my night vision is better than ever. The need to buy a new pair of glasses initially prompted me to go for a consultation at a couple of ...  More...

I had my treatment yesterday and am already happily using my PC again. The best I hoped for was to regain my distance vision as I love driving and a variet of outdoor pursuits. The result has surpassed my wildest dream and given that it was only done yesterday and today at the check up I was pronounced 20/20 vision I am delighted. My friends are totally amazed and the whole experience at Accuvision was proffessional, sympathetic, yes I was nervous, but reassured by all I met. So my thanks to ALL the staff with a special thank you to Mr Chad Rostron who is superb. Kind regards from J.Ward a very satisfied patient.  More...

In summary I would like to highly recommend AccuVision. 10/10 on all counts in my opinion. {long version} My surgeon was Mr Chad Rostron and I was seen throughout the consultation, surgery day and aftercare by Mr Patel. I have just got back from my 1 week post-op check-up and have had confirmed what I already thought – my vision has been corrected to 6/6. The surgery was carried out smoothly, seamlessly and very professionally. I can honestly say I felt no pain whatsoever. My prescription was quite a simple one with a little astigmatism in my right eye. I had a consultation with a leading competitor who suggested that really I should be opting for the Rolls-Royce treatment with intral ...  More...

Hello. I had laser treatment at Accuvision yesterday (25th July) at 4pm..so the experience is still very fresh. My prescription was left eye - 10, right eye - 7.25, with an astigmatism of 165 in the left eye. As I was travelling from Somerset, I booked the consultation and treatment for the same day, and didn't know if I would be suitable or not for the procedure until my appointment.. At the end of the consultation I was advised that because of my unusually thin cornea (490), a 'perfect' outcome could not be achieved, and asked if I was content to undergo the treatment with the understanding that I would still need glasses or lenses for certain activivities. I had already d ...  More...

The staff at ACCUVISION truely are miracle workers, I cannot recommend them highly enough. From the moment I arrived in the clinic, the customer care was excellent. The prep work was conducted thoroughly and every single step was explained clearly in plain English. (Great job Vik!) For what must have been the most worrying moments of my life so far, the surgery turned out to be a near to painless, 10 minute miracle!! (I'm eternally greatful Mr Rostron) Don't expect to be zapped and to be able to drive home right away but within 24 hours, my slight itchyness had disappeared and I still can't quite believe that I dont need contact lenses/glasses any more!! Once again ...  More...

I am considering having laser eye surgery and need some advise. I live in the Yorkshire area and so contacted Ultralase in Leeds. What I cant understand is the price difference quoted for Wavefront surgery. £699 here and almost £1500 with Ultralase. This seems such a huge difference in price for what I assume is the same service. Any comments please. Also, can folks say the 'type' of surgery they have had. ie; Lasek, Lasik, Wavefront etc. And has anyone had surgery in Leeds and by what surgeon. I am trying to work through the confusion here and would genuinely appreciate an comments. Paul.........  More...

Just thought I would give you a little update as to my previous opticians response to my eyes. He said it is the best "job" he has seen in many years, he checked the blood pressure in my eyes said it is completely normal, I had an eye examination and he said that my vision was 6/6 which is the british equavalent to the american 20/20, he said that I am a little long sighted, but not even enough to put a prescription to, and he also said that would probably correct itself. He also checked in the "contact lens" room the cornea and said that he could not even see where the flap had been cut. So all in all, absolutely fantastic, he said that the headaches were most likely due to the ...  More...

Hi my name is Jinny and I had my eyes done at accuvision 24th April..........I was + 3.00 left with astigmatism and +2.5 right................I am very pleased with my eyes. My 2 sisters who are older then my (I am 50) had an even higher plus script and they are also really pleased with their eyes. I hope this helps you. Anyway the consultation is free and the best eye health check you can get. I was told by Mr Halliday that my scans show that behind my eyes are very narrow and this is an indication that along with my long sightedness I could develop glaucoma at some point. So now they have this info they will keep an extra check on me from now on. So not only have I got great visio ...  More...

Ok, lets try again...... All done now and absoluteley amazing, had the surgery last Tuesday, and can not beleive how painless it was, ok a little unpleasant but nothing to worry about at all, for a couple of days before all sorts of thing were going though my mind, I actually thought about cancelling and going back to contact lenses, thank god I didnt. On the day I was shaking from head to toe and all the staff were so fantastic in reassuring me, they said that they love to see people like me because I was -7.00 in both eyes, the results are so amazingly different. The surgery from start to finish took about 8 minutes, and I could see better after than before. I went home that night ...  More...

I am 22 years old and had Leukemia when I was 7 years old, this was treated with a bone marrow transplant. I have had problems with the new bone marrow fighting against my body giving me various problems like Rheumatoid Arthritis and cataracts. The cataracts was removed when I was 8 years old but needed to wear glasses. After looking on the internet I found a place in Bristol called Ultralase so I decided to book my self in for a free consultation. So I went all the way up to Bristol from Cornwall for my free consultation but when I got there I was told that they would not do the treatment because I had Rheumatoid Arthritis and was sent home very disappointed but I was not going to give u ...  More...

I STRONGLY recommend this clinic. I had -1.75 sphere on both eyes, plus 2 and 2.75 cylinder left and right respectively. 16 hrs after surgery I could see 21/20. The operation was 5 mins long and very interesting to "watch". I could actually see clearly straight after, but was asked to keep my eyes closed for 30min for obvious reasons (the eagerness was strong, I tell you:-). I used the drops as instructed. Minor itching. I was actually a bit negligent in the immediate post-op because I went shopping and staid up late. The morning after, they took the contacts off. Now, 3 days after, my eyes feel and see absolutely perfect. I'm even tempted to stop using the drops altogether. I t ...  More...

It's been nearly a month since I had my treatment and I'm so pleased with the results. Accuvision were fantastic throughout the process and I simply cannot fault the service I've received. Although the surgery was completely painless and the staff were very calming, I nevertheless felt pretty freaked out when I lay on the table and the procedure begun. However, after the first eye was underway & I realised that it really wasn't scary at all, I was much more relaxed - just lay back and enjoyed the "light show". My vision was excellent when I came out of surgery and I really wanted to look around rather than keeping my eyes closed and rested. My eyes were a little uncomforta ...  More...

What can I say: fabulous staff, fabulous service and now fabulous eye sight!!! I got 'zapped' 4 days ago and it's just amazing. The procedure itself is painless and so quick. The only irritation I found was on the first night due to the protective contact lenses they put in, but these were removed at the 1 day check up. Since then - brilliant!! I would highly recommend Accuvision. They were so efficient and professional, yet super friendly.  More...

I'd worn glasses since I was 4, and was long sighted with a very uneven prescription. Knowing that lasik had historically been used for short sighted people, I was pleasantly surprised to be told that I was suitable. I was zapped in September 2005, and to my way of thinking a trip to the dentist is far more unpleasant. The procedure is slightly surreal, but quick and painless. Having been long sighted I was told that it would take some time for everything to settle down, and it did. I am now delighted with my 20:20 vision, albeit my left eye is still slightly dominant, and I do get the odd day where computer text can be slightly blurry round the edges. I now work without glasses, a ...  More...

I had my eyes done 7hrs ago, and already i can see well enough to drive. Before the surgery i was so nervous but when i laid on the table all my worries seemed to disappear, it wasn't uncomfortable until about an hour after surgery then it was like getting shampoo in your eyes for about half an hour, now the only thing that feels a little uncomfortable is the contact lenses they put in to protect your eyes. Would recommend it to anyone, and Accuvision are brilliant, Thank you.  More...

I had my surgery carried out on the 23rd May. I decided to have my consultation and both eyes done at the same time which resulted in a discount of £300. My eyesight was previously very poor as my prescription was almost 10. I am extremely happy with the wavefront lasik surgery I had as I now have 20/20 vision and only need 1.5 lenses for reading. The treatment was absolutely painless and I had no after effects whatsoever. My vision was a little blurry immiediatley afterwards, but soon improved to the extent I was able to drive to my local supermarket in less than 6 hours after the surgery. I am really glad I took the decision to have laser surgery and highly recommend Accuvision.  More...

5 weeks now and I cant remember what it was like not to be able to see. I have been to Dorset for a week and seeing all the wild flowers in detail is just fantastic. Also I went swimming, I did wear goggles as I was worried about irritating my eyes and everything was fine. My night vision is better now than it was when I had glasses so thats another plus for me. :-)  More...

After having my surgery at Accuvision on 25th April thought it was about time I posted a note on how I am getting on. After wearing glasses since aged 6 and full-time since age 19 (apart from few years with contacts) it is wonderful not to reach for my specs in the morning. I am very very happy with my "new eyes". I went to 3 consultatations - Ultralase, Accuvison and Optical Express. I also liked being seen by one person (Joan) who was very informative and answered all my many questions that day and the days leading up to surgery. I rang her a number of times before coming to my decision and the all round experience made me choose Accuvision. As I am 46 I knew that I would st ...

More...

Thought I'd report back my experiences in the early post op stage then report back more later. Following far too much research I booked a consultation with Accuvision, Moorfields and London Vision Clinic. Accuvision were by far the cheapest of the 3 options but I was lucky enough to not have money play any part in my decision. Although all three clinics were fine, I chose Accuvision for several reasons. 1. I liked the fact that all of my tests were done by the same person(Vikash - all round nice bloke). 2. They were very straight about what to expect with no hard sell at all. 3. I spoke to a random selection of Accuvision patients all of whom spoke very highly of their experience. I ha ...  More...

Well its been 10 days since I had my eyes corrected, and I have to say the thing I found the strangest of all in the first 3 days was the fact that I went from being long sighted to being short sighted. But that is normal with long sighted people so it gave no cause for alarm. Today I had a check up and I am please to say I have 20/20 in my right eye and 20/15 in my left. My vision is very clear in the daytime. My night vision is still poor and I am not yet driving at night, but Vik assured me that this will improve over the next few weeks. (as I was already night blind any improvement will be great). My flaps are compleatly sealed and my eyes are looking brilliant on the scans. So it ...  More...

I found in Accuvision the confidence I needed to go ahead with this operation. I desperately wanted this surgery but wouldn't have gone ahead with it if I wasn't 100% confident with them. I had been looking into this procedure for about a year and had been to 2 other clinics. One of which was extortionately expensive and out of my budget and one of whom wanted to give me "lasek" . As "lasek" is usually associated with thin cornias and has a slower healing time and can regress whilst healing I was advised by an independent surgeon not to have this and that I did not need this. Accuvison were the only people who discussed with me my longterm vision with regard to my near sight a ...  More...

I had my surgery done on Monday 24th April and I am thrilled with the results and with Accuvision. I had originally been for a consultation back in June 2005 however due to a 'bruise' at the back of my eye I had to get this checked out and sorted out before I was allowed to go ahead with surgery, however due to time lapsing and going backwards and forwards to Moorfileds to get this sorted, I decided to put laser eye surgery on the back burner. March 2006 I got the bee in my bonnet again about having the surgery, and so after being initally impressed with Accuvision for my first consult, I decided to return to them. Once again I was met with friendly and professional staff, who I ...  More...

I meant to post my comments after a week/month/six months but am just getting round to it 16 months after I had my op at Accuvision. I am totally satisfied with all aspects of Accuvision's service and the results. My prescription before the op was -9.5/-10!!! and I now have 20:20 vision. I am 45 and had worn hard contact lenses and then gas permeable lenses since I was 14. After 30 years of assisted sight it is fantastic to need no glasses or lenses. I had an initial problem with dryness for 6-8 weeks post op and used a gel supplied by Accuvision rather than drops. Now I don't use anything. I work on a computer, drive, go on long plane journeys and have no problem. Far from regressin ...  More...

I was sad to see the poor rating below because the perfect 5 rating was one of the things that helped me choose Accuvision. My husband and I had the surgery done over 2 weeks ago and we can't fault Accuvision on anything. We both have better than 20/20 vision and found the whole experience to be very positive. I was also very impressed with the prices that Accuvision charge as the service is excellent and you don't feel like you are picking the "cheap" option, just rather not being overcharged. They are able to offer better pricing because their laser is less expensive to purchase and maintain. We had seen Mr Pillai too (Advanced Vision Care) who was also excellent, but far ...  More...

Had my surgery scheduled for 24th April and I must admit I was extremely anxious. But reading the reviews on this site made me feel better. The icing on the cake for me was getting in touch with so many lovely people some of whom have had surgery, and some like myself who were anxious. So as you can imagine when I read the review by "unhappy" I was now totally confused. I sat down and wrote out a list of questions for Mr Halliday that I would put to him, I would then decide whether or not to go ahead. I went along with the attitude that If I offended him by my questions then I would have considered that very unprofessional . Mr Halliday was not fazed by my questions (more like an inter ...  More...

I had this procedure done on the 24th April 2006, and it is the best thing that I have ever done. For someone who has been wearing glasses for years, and could not see anything when I got up in the morning without the help of them, this treatment has been heaven sent. For me to be able to get up in the mornings and move around without looking for my glasses this is a miracle and I only had it done a few days ago. The treatment it self was painless and after wards I only had a "gritty" feeling in my eyes which was bearable. All the staff and surgeons were fantastic and they kept me informed of what was going on and what was about to happen, both before and during the procedure. I am ...  More...

Had the treatment this week. I was -6.5 beforehand. Pretty pleased with the outcome at this stage and my vision is still improving. Brett Halliday was the surgeon and the whole staff were very efficient and professional - as you should expect. The actual procedure was a bit uncomfortable but certainly not painful. Once the anaesthetic wore off my eyes felt very sore for about two hours, but that quite quickly wore off.  More...

I had Wavefront Guided Lasik in May 2002. It cost £2500. My pre-op prescription was -1.75 and -1.50 with a fair bit of astigmatism. The operation seemed to go smoothly and the initial results were very good. I’m not sure my vision was quite as good as it was with glasses but it was very good and the optometrist assured me it was 20/20. All good and off I went very happy. About 10 months later I started getting headaches and noticed my vision didn't seem as sharp in fading light. I was also getting sore eyes. I rang Accuvision who agreed to see me. At the consultation the optometrist tested my eyes and insisted that my eyes were still 20/20. They clearly weren't. He said everything ...  More...

For any one wanting info about Brett Halliday I found this on the website. pretty impressive I think Mr. Halliday trained at Oxford Eye Hospital and Moorfields Eye Hospital, London (senior registrar and lecturer). Appointed to consultant NHS post in Shrewsbury in 1990. He has been an independent consultant ophthalmologist since 1997. Mr. Halliday has published papers in peer reviewed journals on diagnosis of glaucoma, acuity after cataract surgery, lens power in cataract surgery, surgery of pterygium, refractive surgery including epikeratophakia and excimer laser contrast sensitivity, surgery for blepharospasm, corneal graft surgery, surgery for keratoconus, two editorials in British Me ...  More...

I had laser surgery at the AccuVision clinic in Fulham on monday. I am posting this message as a very delighted patient. All the staff from the bird at the reception to the optometrist and the surgeon were absolutely fantastic. I am still getting to terms with the fact that I wont need glasses ever again. It's no surprise to me that AccuVision have a 100% positive rating on this site. The actual surgery only lasted about 8 minutes (that's 4 minutes per eye). The weird thing is it doesn't hurt. The whole thing was painless. I felt a massive difference to my sight as soon as the surgery was over. When I left the clinic (ie about 30 minutes after surgery), I could read car ...  More...

I have worn glasses since I was three years old. I was severely long sighted and no clinic was able to offer me treatment as my prescription was considered to be to high (+6.75 and +5.00) Then I heard about accuvision and travelled from the lake district to london for a consultation. The service I received was fantastic and they were very honest about what I could expect due to having such a severe prescription. I decided to go ahead and I had the surgery done in monday. I was very nervous but the staff were fantastic and explained everything clearly and said I would feel no pain though it would be a little uncomfortable. Did it hurt? Absolutely not, it was the most amazing ten minute ...  More...

After a disappointing experience at Ultralase (you can read my experience in their page) I went to Accuvision for the initial check-up. It was a completely different story, staff was very friendly but what impressed me the most was that the outcome of each exams was discussed with me, I was shown graphs, numbers and explained their meaning and what they meant in terms of surgery for me. Because of the shape of my right eye, I was told that I was really borderline and that the only surgery they would perform is Epi-Lasik which is relatively new for the UK and was explained all the differences in terms of surgery and possible results. I went home and did a lot of reading about Lasek (offered b ...  More...

Oh......I'm so pleased with my vision. I have just had my 3 month check-up today. I had mono vision performed on 24/11/05.[that means I had one eye lasered for long vision and the other fot short vision] Having worn glasses for the past 10 years I can see beautifully. I cannot fault the service at all times of Accuvision and thoroughly recommend them.  More...

I'm typing this the day after surgery and still cannot believe that I no longer need glasses. I've just had my first check up and I have 20/20 vision. Yes it's a little hazy but I can see. The surgery was so quick I was in the clinic for an hour and a half but surgery time was only 10 minutes. Even on leaving the surgery I could read number plates which, my sister who accompanied me, couldn't without her glasses. The procedure was uncomfortable, but not painful and be preapred for a slight burning smell but it's worth it. The staff were lovely too, I was talking and even laughing with the the surgeons and nurses whilst having it done! And they fully explained ev ...  More...

I spent 10 long years hiding behind glasses, hating every moment. I was unsuitable for contact lenses, I was told that I wouldn't be able to have laser surgery either. But after weeks of badgering by my daughter, I booked a consultation with Accuvision (thinly disguised as a London day trip incase I chickened out). I couldn't believe it when they told me that not only could they give me treatment, but that it would only take about ten minutes! The only draw back was the slight discomfort during the treatment, and being forced to rest and eat chocolates all afternoon. Because I had a stigmatism, they tailored my treatment so that my left eye is for reading and my right is for dis ...  More...

PRE OP - Petrified POST OP - AMAZED, RELIEVED, WORDS CANNOT DESCRIBE! It took me 7 years to have this procedure done, a few friends had success with Accuvision and I finally decided to do it. I was so nervous on the day that I talked myself into all kinds of scenarios. It wasn't the most comfortable or pleasant procedure, and I wasn't ready for the intense burning sensation in my eyes for a couple of hours after BUT I CAN SEE!!! All the staff were SO friendly and understanding about my fear, I could not have asked for nicer people. I would recommend anyone who is tired of lenses and glasses to JUST GO FOR IT! I wake every morning with a sense of wonder and what I can see Thank y ...  More...

Hey Everyone, I just had my eyes lasered on 27/02/06 and i have 20/20 vision in both eyes. I am so happy iv told just about everyone i know i had it done LOL. Right, down to my experience it happened so quick as it only takes a few minutes to do for each eye. If you are getting it done stay calm as there is no pain then once done DO NOT RUB YOUR EYES WHATSOEVER as this will probably cause major complications. After surgery i went straight home to my bed and kept my eyes closed for the rest of the day whilst inserting eye drops every hour. Literally the next day i woke up shocked to see really clear. Make sure you take enough time off work my personal need was at least a week as i needed t ...  More...

A very positive experience. I came to this site before I chose to go with Accuvision in Fulham. I've followed eye surgery for many years but always thought it too risky. The most recent techniques have cut down risk substantially and make a positive outcome for high myopes like myself a really good chance. My prescription was -8 in both eyes and slight astigmatism, no other major problems. I had custom lasik on Thursday and have carefully followed the regime since then. My vision is better than 20/20 some 3 days later and getting better! I've religiously stuck to the post-op regime, including keeping my eyes closed for most of the time immediately following the op. A very pro ...  More...

Accuvision provided me with a free initial consultation which was very thorough and professional. Based on this I knew I was in the right hands and decided to have the surgery. On the day of surgery everything went well with a perfect outcome. The after care is just as thorough. In addition I thought the cost of surgery was very affordable. I am delighted with the outcome of my experience at Accuvision. The surgery has been life changing and I have already recommended others to Accuvision!  More...

(posted on the listings lab blog; http://blog.listingslab.com) Miraculous! That’s the only word to describe lasik laser eye surgery. Actually, uncomfortable also describes it pretty well. I didn’t go blind. Far from it. Less than 24 hour after the procedure and I have better than 20/20 vision. OK, my vision is a little hazy and my eyes hurt a little bit because essentially they are still recovering from injury, but I no longer need to wear glasses. I met Phil at the clinic in Parson’s Green at 2:30pm. We had to have a quick eye test to make sure that our eyes hadn’t changed in the 6 months since our initial consultation. If you have an image of the clinic as a hospital ward, ...  More...

I like most people did a lot of research before going ahead with my surgery, I opted to go and see Accuvision and Ultralase who from this site seemed to me the best bets. My first appointment was at Accuvision and Vik took me through all of the complex test - he was really nice and obviously new his stuff, and really made me feel at ease, and also kept me well informed of all the tests he was doing and the outcomes he observed, the tests took 1 hour in total, and at all times, all of the staff in Fulham were really friendly and professional. He noted that I had a very minute cataract and printed out a picture of it for me but stressed that the cataract was very small and looked congenital, ...  More...

I have just been for my monthly check-up (it's actually about 6 weeks since I had the procedure) and am very pleased to say everything is fine & I now have better than 20/20 vision! I can honestly say this is one of the best things I have ever done & is money very well spent. The staff in the Fulham clinic are extremely friendly & professional & put you completely at ease. I was very nervous on the actual day of the procedure but they were very kind & even offered for someone to hold my hand during the process! In the end I didn't need it as it was over so quickly & was so utterly painless that I soon realised I had had nothing whatsoever to worry about. The worst thing of all w ...  More...

My journey to excellent vision took a little longer than I expected. This was due to having a very high prescription (nearly -11 in both eyes) and in conjunction with this I opted for monovision as I was approaching my mid-forties. Monovision deliberately undercorrects one eye, enabling you to focus close up without reading glasses as you grow older whilst the other eye is corrected to full vision for distance purposes. I first underwent the procedure in December 2004 and would agree with others that it is not painful, although not exactly pleasant and I was glad to get it over with! As the months went by it was apparent that my distance eye had not achieved perfect vision and ended up ...  More...

I had the laser treatment last August and have just completed my final check up. I am amazed that, for 37 years of my life, I woke every morning with very blurred vision and now I find myself taking for granted the fact that I now have better than 20/20 vision all the time! I know what it's like when you first decide to go for this procedure and how nervous you will be. Please be assured that the staff at Accuvision made me feel confident from the outset both through their professionalism and the way they explained exactly how each step would go in as much graphic detail as you fancy! The actual operation itself, yes of course I was a bit nervous and the experience itself was a bit ...  More...

I was treated on 10 November and I'm writing this just after an 8 week check. I have been very impressed with Accuvision and their laser technology. Everyone at the Fulham clinic has been so friendly and helpful. I have really felt like part of the family. I will actually miss going there when all the aftercare visits are done. Regarding the technology, I did a lot of reading about different lasers. It can be quite confusing but at the end of the day it was all about results. Accuvision's success rates are some of the best that I have seen. My eyes were -4.5 and -5.0. Accuvision's 20/20 rate for this prescription range is over 95%. Check that against your friendly local co ...  More...

I had wavefront LASIK on both eyes at Accuvision in July 2005, performed by Mr Chad Rostron and his team. Prior to this, my prescription was -4.25/-5.00, and I had been wearing glasses/contact lenses for about 15 years since my late teens. Without them, I couldn't even watch TV, let alone drive. The operation was a textbook success: I had mild discomfort (grittiness/sensitivity to light) for the rest of the day, but the next morning woke up feeling fine and able to see almost perfectly. By day 3, I could easily have gone back to work, but had chosen to take the whole week off just in case. Now, 6 months later, I've been discharged from Accuvision's aftercare programme, a ...  More...

Three and a half weeks since the LASIK which was so simple & quick it was less uncomfortable than a dental check up , I was -3 in both eyes , now the right is close to 20/20 and the left a little behind . The results are amazing and Accuvision were my choice after consulting 3 other clinics and I'm sure it was the right one . One small note of caution , getting used to reading glasses is quite a learning curve afterwards although I've gone from + 1.5 a week after to + 1.0 presently . No pain no overnight discomfort , just slight confusion every morning when I realise I've left home without my specs . The brain still isn't sure which eye to favour , time will tell .  More...
