I had been wearing glasses or contacts for about 25 years with a prescription of -5.5 & -5.75. I wanted corrective surgery but waited until I found a recommended, safe procedure. Accuvision were suggested to me by a neighbour who had his eyes corrected there a year previous and had experinced no problems. The free consultation was extremely thorough & profeessional, plus the specialist surgeon performing the procedure instilled confidence. The whole procedure took about 20 minutes. It was rather like going to the dentist...but not as bad! The next day I could see fine, with just a slight dry itching and two weeks later it was as if I'd never had glasses! After 6 weeks I have better t ...

The whole team at accuvision were great. Initial consultations were very informative and surgery time was quick and efficient with lots of support from the surgeons and whole team. The surgery itself wasnt painful, just uncomfortable for a few minutes, with a lifteme worth of benefits. After care is also great with a 24hr number should you need it. Highly recommend going to accuvision if you are considering laser treatment.

I thought about having Laser Surgery about 3 years ago, but that was as far as it went until my friend had hers done and said how fantastic it was. So I rang round a number of companies only to be told that they could not do my prescription, it was Accuision and one other company that said it could be done. I opted for the other company as it was only 300 miles from where I live in Scotland and Accuvision was 600. I went for my consultation in July this year and all was well, I told them that I have Ulcerated Colitis and it was put in my notes and nothing mentioned about it. I booked to have the surgery at the end of July. My husband and I travelled overnight so we could get to the clinic fo ...

I decided to look at laser surgery back in May. As I had been wearing hard c/l for 20 years I had to make the sacrifice of wearing glasses for a while! My first stop was Optimax in Leicester due to its location in my nearest city. I was advised that 3 weeks of non c/l wearing should suffice and so off I went. as the clinic had only just opened it was a little disorganised and I had to wait an hour to be seen. I was told that my corneas were too thin for lasik but I could have Epi-Lasek. However my corneas hadn't demoulded enough for a proper examination so had to wait another 3 weeks to see if I could have epi-lasek.
The lady I saw wasn't very helpful and I felt she was too bored to ...

I had treatment 2 days ago now and all is pretty good so far (I am writing this with no glasses). I am reserving final judgment for a couple of weeks while my eyes settle down.
**Surgery day**
The day of surgery was pretty busy (Mondays and Thursdays) with at least 4 others having the procedure done at similar times to me and lots of checking and rechecking eye measurements etc. Despite this, the staff were excellent and made me feel relaxed. The
surgery itself was slightly painful and unnerving. My right eye went well and was glad to have the left eye complete too, only to find that after checking the pupil, I had to have the flap lifted and re-cleaned.

I had my consultation with Accuvision after being told that my prescription was too severe for Laser surgery at another clinic. My prescription was a -6.75 with a 4.25 astigmatism in my left eye and a -8 with a 2,5 astigmatism in my right eye. I went along with no real hope that they could offer me anything different. I was over the moon when, after careful examination of my eyes and prescription, Vikash declared that they could not only treat my eyes but be confident that I would not have to wear glasses for anything more than possibly night driving.
I booked up my treatment and went in for it about two weeks later. I was very nervous laying on the table but had no need to be. The staff we ...

Just wanted to say thank you for "looking after my eyes"! I felt I couldn't have been in better hands. You are all so professional and it mean't so much .....
If anyone is nervous and not sure what to do, let me re-assure you, from my own personal experience, I could not have put my "eyes" in better hands. Everything from start to finish was so professional, I just knew that my eyes would be ok..... and they are. Infact more than ok - I am writing this just 24 hours after treatment and it is just wonderful. After many years of wearing contact lenses my eyes already feel "brighter". Even immediately after treatment, a quick pe ...

I had my laser treatment at the end of August. Originally i had gone to Ultralase but was told my cornea was too steep and that my only option was implantable contact lenses but as my prescription wasn't that strong it wouldn't be worth it. I was pretty disappointed by this as i hate wearing glasses and this was something i was thinking about for ages. By accident i saw an ad for Accuvision and called them and found out that it may be possible to treat so i went along and found out that yes it was so booked myself in and haven't looked back since - had my 6 week check up and my vision is better than 20 20.

I'm 23 and have been wearing glasses since I was 2. I had a prescription of +6.75 and +4.50.
My father recommended Accuvision after receiving treatment from them. (He now has 20:20 vision). They were happy to treat me but as my prescription was so high, they warned that I might still need to wear glasses for reading and driving. With all this considered I went ahead with the surgery on April 1st 2004. The surgeons and the consultants were lovely, very kind and reassuring, the nurse even held my hand all the way through the operation.
6 months later I have 20:20 vision. My eye sight is better now than it ever was when wearing my glasses.

I had my eye sight corrected at Accuvision five weeks ago. I live at Newcastle but because my prescription was so bad at +7.5 no one would treat me. I had a free consultation at the London clinic and was so impressed I had the treatment two days later. The procedure took only minutes and there was no pain. My sight was improved instantly and got better each day. I had worn glasses or contact lenses for nearly fifty years and have now thrown them away. My vision was checked arter a month and is now 20/20
My advice is to go for it...

Amazing, I can see! 3 months ago I had a glasses prescription of + 6 and + 5.5 and couldn’t be without my glasses for more than a few minutes without getting a headache. Now thanks to Accuvision's care, attention to detail and wave front technology I have 20/20 vision in both eyes. The procedure was a bit scary and to be honest a bit painful. I had an interesting train ride to Croydon being guided like a blind person, and eventually I began to feel a little better. The worst of the pain only really lasted about 3 hours and suddenly I could open my eyes better and even watch the TV without my glasses, something I had never been able to do. The next morning I already had roughly 20/20 ...

Accuvision were thoroughly professional and reassuring when dealing with me. They took a good two hours on my initial consultation and I felt total confidence in them. My vision is now apparently better than 20:20 in my working eye and I feel like a miracle has been performed! I would certainly recommend this clinic to anyone else requiring treatment.

The team at Accuvision are amazing. They talk you through everything until you are happy with even the most trivial of questions you may have (in my case I was not laughed at for asking how long before my surgery I was allowed to have my eyelashes tinted - how vain! - its about 4 days in case you're interested!). They take the utmost care of you on the day, and my surgeon Chad Rostron is awesome. Their 24 hour number is at your disposal anytime you need reassurance.
All in all, they were amazing, and I can now see the leaves on the trees, and even into people's houses!! It is a life changing experience, and I am glad I did it with the team at Accuvision.

I went to Accuvision having been advised by another clinic that my corneas were too thin for normal Lasik and I wouuld need to wait for wavefront technology which they didn't have yet. A few months later I saw Accuvision advertising this technology and having spent ages on their website I decided to go for a consultation at Parsons Green.
I was hugely impressed with the great care taken over this. The battery of tests I was put through lasted nearly 2 hours and the final result was that yesthe corneas were quite thin but they could treat my eyes. Booked a consultation and I was very impressed with the overall assessment procedure. Vikash was very thorough in discussing my eyes, the actual procedure, what to expect pre and post operation and also in answering all my questions. I had to call the clinic twice for more information before I finally decided to go ahead with it. Firstly, let me state that this comment is aimed at those people who have a relatively small prescription and feel that corrective surgery would be of little benefit to them. My eyesight prescription was -1.5 and -1.75. Although there are many people with larger prescriptions than mine, I still felt that my poor vision was a hinderence to my everyday life. The lack of fine detail with my vision meant I required glasses to drive, to go to the cinema, for lectures at university and for my ward based hospital work as a student physiotherapist. Since having corrective surgery in April 04, my vision has improved greatly. I have just had my 3-4 month check up and have emerged with 20/10 vision (or ...

Just the other day we were watching an interview on TV and instead of blurring out just the person's face to protect their identity, they blurred out the entire frame. My night vision is not brilliant, but that was also the case pre- ...

I first had a consultation at Acuvision in September 2003, following the very successful treatment of my cousin's and aunt's eyesight using Lasik. I am 22 and have been short sighted for 10 years, my vision being stable at a level of -6 and -6.5 in the right and left eyes respectively. At my initial consultation I was told that I had a steepening of the cornea towards the bottom of the iris area and was asked to return for a second consultation in a few months to distinguish whether the steepening was stable or progressive. I returned in January 2004 and was delighted to discover that the steepening was considerably milder that origanlly thought; as I have very watery eyes, the tears were di ...

On Thursday 5th february, I had eye surgery at the above clinic having been turned down twice in the past two years by Ultrlase as my corneas were too thin. Following my first consultation with Accuvision they completely reassured me that this would not be a problem for them using the technology available. Three days after my surgery I sit here with perfect vision having been minis 10 in my right eye and minus 8 in my left. The whole procedure took a matter of minutes and was completely painless. My only regret is not having found Accuvision years ago.

Thursday 29th January was D day for me, at 3.30pm I was +7.75 / -2.50 x180 right eye and +8.00 / -2.50 x 180 left eye, by 4.00 pm I could read the time on Daryus' watch.
The procedure was painless and very fast, I got off the table and made my way to the waiting room with my eyes firmly shut, each time I opened them they streamed with tears but weren't too uncomfortable. Fifteen minutes later Mike came out and got me a coffee and administered the eye drops. I left the practice approx 20 minutes later.
The irritation in my eyes passed within 3 hours and then felt as right as rain, I watched some telly and feel asleep at 10.30 pm that evening. Next morning woke at 5.50 am and felt g ...

I had wavefront Lasik at Accuvision on the 4th of December 2003... now, a month on, I can hardly remember ever needing glasses! I had a particularly difficult set of eyes - high astigmatism, thin corneas and large pupils - you name it, I had it! The operation itself was painless but scary. Thankfully, the nice nurse held my hand. Everyone did everything they could to help me relax and it was over before I knew it. The following four hours were uncomfortable, and I slept through most of them - waking up hourly to put my drops in. I woke up the next morning and could see the clock on GMTV!! A massive thank you to everyone at Accuvision - especially Vik, Darius, Nick Jones and the lovely nurse ...

After being a contact lens and spectacle wearer for 29 years, I decided it was time to look into laser eye surgery. The final push came when my optician advised me to wear varifocal glasses, which would mean wearing larger frames, which were very unflattering to my face. After weeks of research, I had a 2 hour consultation at Accuvision, Fulham and was told that I was an ideal candidate for laser surgery. I was literally over the moon, but also a little anxious. As I am fifty years old and took my glasses of to read or wore reading glasses over contact lenses for short-sightedness and the other (left) was corrected for reading. I had surgery on the 8th December and felt very little discom ...
