David Jory trained at St Bartholomew's, The Royal London, Moorfields and St Thomas' Hospitals. He pioneered the use of the CK,C3R/UV-X, phakic lenses, diode laser and scleral implants in the UK and is part of a European team tasked to look at the results of these procedures.
He was one of the first surgeons to insert phakic lenses for higher refractive errors and to carry out surgery for presbyopia. As a member of the teaching faculty of the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, he teaches these procedures to other refractive surgeons internationally. Mr Jory has performed over 6,000 refractive surgery procedures, including over 1,000 CK procedures.
