Mr Lake is an NHS Consultant at the Corneoplastic unit and Eye bank, Queen Victoria Hospital, East Grinstead. He specialises in corneal surgery, cataract surgery, intraocular lenses and laser vision correction.

Mr Lake has completed Cornea and Anterior Segment Fellowships at Moorfields Eye Unit, St George’s Hospital, London and The Corneoplastic unit and Eye bank, Queen Victoria Hospital, East Grinstead.

He has published numerous research articles on corneal conditions in internationally renowned journals and presented at national and international conferences. Mr Lake is also a reviewer for the European journal of Ophthalmology and The journal of Postgraduate Medicine.

    After thinking about Laser eye correction for some time I built up the courage to do something about it. I was assigned Mr Lake at my free consulation, he was very proffesional, reassuring and even gave me the time of day a week before the procedure to discuss my questions when I called in. As for the procedure it was quick and there was no pain at all during or after. I am now 10 days into recovery and as lots of people say "I wish I had done it earlier".
