Libelous postings against a Clinic or Surgeon are not acceptable neither are posts which could be considered defamatory, containing expletives or containing emotional outburst. These types of postings will be either ignored or edited before being posted on the site. Posts with emotional more than objective content - usually pro or anti Refractive Eye Surgery will be included but will be displayed in the 'General' postings area of the site subject to the above. Posting should be limited to factual information relating to your
personal experience of the clinic to which it is added. Postings should
not include content which could be construde as being as being
promotional. The Webmaster and nominated moderators reserve the right to exclude, modify, gramatically correct/change and exert the right to discontinue threads and topics.
The Forums section of this site is meant for the exchange of
information and views related to Laser Eye Surgery and are generally for public
not professional use. Clinics / Surgeons are encouraged to interact with any
questions raised but any form of direct / indirect advertising is specifically
forbidden and any instances will be immediately removed.

Advertisers who place text, adverts or banners on the site are solely responsible for the authenticity & claims that are made. Advertisers are referred to their
obligations under the ' The Unfair
Commercial Practices Directive (UCPD)’ which was adopted on 11 May 2005. Particularly
where they are obliged, by law, not to mislead consumers through
acts or omissions; or subject them to aggressive commercial practices such as
high pressure selling techniques. The Directive also provides additional
protections for vulnerable consumers who are often the target of unscrupulous
traders.
This website is not intended to be a scientific discussion group or a forum for opinionated debates. It serves as a forum for communication and provision of INFORMATION about refractive centres for those wishing to undergo refractive surgery.
Whilst we try to keep this site accurate and up-to-date with info on Lasik, Lasek, PRK and other forms of Refractive Eye Surgery in the UK, we cannot guarantee that it always will be.
