I had my eyes fixed eleven months ago June 05 now from -5.5 & -5.25 to 20/20 in both. Daysight kicked in almost immediately (on the day of the operation infact), night sight took about about 6 months to settle properly, with glare been a problem for the first few months, (found out later that my discarded glasses had anti-glare lenses, which didnt help the situation)! The operation was painless, although slightly uncomfortable, during which I was constantly informed and was assured at every step. I have wavefront surgery with Robert Morris on 23/03/2005, and I am thrilled with the results. I was short sighted -6 and now I have 20 20 vision in both eyes. I had a consultation with David Gartry at Moorfields, which I decided against because of the travelling distance and also felt uncomfortable about some of the reviews on Lasik Eyes, and a second consulation with Optical Express and also decided against it as it felt like a high street procedure rather than an operation. My Lasik surgery was carried out by Robert Morris on 12th February, 2003, at the Nuffield Hospital, Chandler's Ford. During the previous 15 months, I had carried out an extensive survey of the alternatives available. Whilst I never had to pay for a consultation, I was never able to speak to the actual surgeon. My surgeon was Rob Morris at the Nuffield Hospital in Chandlers Ford, Hampshire. I am very glad I chose this surgeon as after the treatment you really do know you have had eye surgery. I had 24 hour access to Mr Morris if I needed to talk to him about any worries or concerns. This gave me so much more confidence. I was given really good pre and post op advice and clear and sound advice as to the results to expect. I count myself very fortunate in having such a caring surgeon and now I can enjoy perfect eyesight. I don't even have any problems with night driving and my near vision is very good too.
