Natalie,
Could you please email me or anybody else who can help. I had Lasik Eye Surgery back in 1998 froma clinic in Harley St, unfortunately i moved home & misplaced the clinic details. since the last 2 years i have noticed a decrease in my vison and am now having to wear glasses for driving at night & mostly for sports.... my vision was really bad, & surgery corrected it, the service i received was great except not much after care. I have been told the clinic i went to has now shut down, please help me locate it if i can find the surgeon maybe i can have my vision properly checked. Many Thanks.

** This clinic went into liqiduation several years ago. It should be removed from this system and having personally undergone poor surgery there, I would recommend to never have surgery with anyone associated with this clinic **

I would personally advise to NOT GO NEAR THESE COWBOYS WITH A BARGEPOLE. I didn't get as far as actually having surgery with them, their customer service toward me was that bad. Please do not be fooled with the address, my dealings have been with a very poor quality company indeed. Please feel free to email me and I can elaborate.

Could anyone tell me if they have had any experience with the above clinic. I am considering Lasik. I am from Ireland and am willing to travel to the UK for the surgery.
Thanks

I underwent bilateral LASEK at Harley Street on the 22nd May 2003. My distance vision is currently very good (at least 20/20) however I have very noticable ghosting/astigmatism in both eyes.
Upon a recent post-op visit I was told that it is very possible that I might need a retreatment. I shall hold off posting an actual rating until they have seen me again in October and, presumably, corrected the problems with my sight.
I won't advise booking surgery with them until then..

Following up on my previous post - I have just had my one month check-up and everything is fine. I don't have an exact prescription, but I can read the bottom line on all charts with both eyes which is better than 20/20.
A word of warning regarding the recovery time - it was about two weeks after the operation before I could use the computer without having to focus consciously. I had the time free but if you are in a computer related job it would be worthwhile not having to spend all day every day on the computer that second week as the eyes do get tired.
But all in all still delighted with the results and recommend Harley Street.

I had bilateral LASEK under Dr Huda Flayeh on March 18th. I choose LASEK over LASIK due to my low prescription (-1.5) and the lower risk under lasek of long term complications compared to LASIK. Overall my experience is very positive - I knew that lasek is more uncomfortable than lasik, and was prepared for a week or so not being able to do much. As it turns out, the proceedure itself went fine although I found it a bt uncomfortable, and my eyes were not able to do much until the Friday. Bright lights were uncomfortable for the first few days, and my eyes were blurry some of the time. However the eyes really started clearing up by the friday and have cleared up enough that I can use a comput ...

I have decided to go for the operation but first Harley give one special offer price for Journalists then I find that it is a standard price for all. I phone up for a brochure and they send it to the wrong address. Then I phone them to ask questions and get a panicky answer phone message talking about a mobile number for emergencies. Not very comforting. But I have still booked in with them in Feb for a consultation. this website is useful to learn about the options. I have been put off Boots just after reading this site!

I attended bilaterial LASIK eye surgery at the Harley Street Laser Eye Clinic on 3rd October, to correct my short-sightedness. What made me book up there was the fact that the initial consultation had been a reassuring experience, I felt that I could entrust my eyes to the surgeon and also I was well looked after by the staff there.
On the day I was understandably nervous, although I've heard nothing but positive stories from friends and colleagues who have already had this procedure performed, all at different clinics. Before the surgery I could only make out the big A on the eye-test chart. However, only minutes following surgery I was already able to read on a few more lines! It wa ...

I found the Harley Street Laser Eye Clinic very comfortable and clean. The staff were very friendly, the surgeon was calm and extremely focussed and I felt entirely confident entrusting him with my laser eye surgery.
I am very happy with the results and no longer need glasses.
