My consultation with Nick at the clinic in Solihull was excellent. By the end of the hour, I was very clear about the options available to me. There was no pressure at all; I was strongly encouraged to think everything through and to contact the clinic again if I wished to go ahead with surgery.
I chose to have monovision and returned to Solihull 2 weeks later to have the surgery. It wasn't painful but it was quite an intense few minutes as each eye was treated. Right from my first consultation I found Accuvision to be very professional and thorough. It was time to update my glasses which I did every two years when I saw an advertisement in the Excelle magazine for eye laser treatment by Accuvision. I made an appointment and was very impressed with the quality of the people, the equipment and the concept of laser eye surgery.

I would recommend AccuVision to all my family and friends. The treatment and the level of service which I received was of the highest quality. I attended the Surgery alone and the team did everything they could to make me feel reassured and calm. I am so pleased that I had laser eye surgery with AccuVision, the only thing I regret is not having it done sooner!

Being significantly short sighted (-9.50!) I was dubious that have surgery would be able to correct my vision fully. After a thorough consultation my expectations were managed, they would aim for full
correction but I might need some prescription afterwards. I had my surgery at the beginning of December and the thing that stays with me now was the kindness and friendliness of the surgeons and opthalmologists. I was really nervous about the procedure (for no reason, it does not hurt) and they were so nice and calm which helped me so much. The best thing about it all is that I now have 20/20 vision! I'd worn contact lenses for 35 years to correct my short sight (-4.0 and -4.5). Now in my early fifties I was also needing to use glasses for reading and pc work.

I was very nervous about my treatment and had been putting off coming for a consultation.
However, as soon as I was through the door, my initial fears subsided, as I felt I was really being taken care of. I was given a thorough examination with straightforward explanations following, giving me all the information I needed to feel comfortable with the procedure.
On the day of the surgery the level of care I received was superb, and after care reassurance was very much appreciated. I had my eyes corrected 18 months ago (May 2008) with AccuVision & found their service FANTASTIC! I went to 3 clinics (Optical Express & Ultralase). OE did not inspire any confidence & UL were very good but wanted £4000! AccuVision charged me £1700 (I had astigmatism in both eyes & was short sighted too). I have always been sceptical about laser eye surgery, but decided to take the plunge with Accuvision. To be honest I was initially booked in with Optical Express but changed my mind within a week, bigger company doesn't always mean better. I took the Trans-Ephithelial surface procedure, I was impressed with the overall experience from my initial consultation to the post-ops, the service was 100% consistent and the staff were always very friendly. The procedure was pain free, and every step explained but I would definitely recommend taking 5 days at least to allow your eyes to settle if your considering Trans-Epithelial. Other than that it's the best thing I have ever done.
